Important Update to Our Devotees
We are delighted to share that we are nearing the acquisition of our new premises at Second Avenue, Nottingham. This move will allow us to relocate and expand the Nottingham Shanthi Vihara, providing greater support and space for our growing community of devotees.
During this transition period, we may need to vacate our current premises to complete the sale of the property. During this time, the monks may temporarily relocate to other branches of the Nottingham Shanthi Vihara, and we will keep you updated as plans progress.
Please note that all regular religious observances will be paused until the new premises are ready. Monks will visit homes only when necessary, such as for alms-giving and other essential events.
We are currently developing a comprehensive plan with clear targets to bring the new premises to a fully operational standard as soon as possible.
Funding Gap:
£15,000
The estimated cost of transaction completion is £544,720.00 GBP. At present, we are experiencing a funding gap of £15,000 to complete the project.
We have outlined below many projects and tasks to contribute towards. Thank you to our lovely sponsors who have already contributed to the project.
Monthly Revenue Increase
Our current monthly revenue is around £1,200 and we are aiming to increase this to £2,250 over the next weeks. We need to increase the monthly revenue to support the upkeep costs of the new premises.
The additional expenditure stems from the increased cost of mortgage, utility bills, council tax, insurances (building and contents + liability), etc. Imagine the scale of change from a 3-bedroom property to a 6-bedroom property to fully understand the predicted cost increase with maintenance.
